I don’t know why they say that Pakistan underwent its first democratic transition of power when newly elected parliamentarians of the 14th National Assembly took the oath. Because the previous assembly also came after a democratically elected assembly. The delay was due to Nawaz Sharif, who was engaged in meeting with newly elected MNA’s of PMLN. The outgoing Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza administered the oath to 301 newly elected MNAs. She is the second speaker who has been elected again as member National Assembly after Gohar Ayyub. I don’t know who took oath from Ghor Ayub Khan but she took her own elected MNA’s of PMLN.
