Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has called an Energy Conference, Dawn News reported. Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) in its election campaigns had repeatedly vowed to improve the power situation in the country on a war footing and had set up a committee in this regard as well. The committee shared it recommendations in a consolidated report that was presented to PM Sharif earlier. The recommendations are likely to be shared at the energy conference. Agreement with China Earlier during the visit of Li Keqiang the Chinese Premier and Mian Nawaz Sharif  had agreed to reconvene the Pak-China Joint Working Group on Energy which would discuss various options for helping Pakistan cope with energy shortages, including nuclear energy.
